Swift Dreams Courier Services - Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Swift Dreams Courier Services. By using our services, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before placing a shipment order.

2. Definitions
Company refers to Swift Dreams Courier Services.
Customer refers to the person or entity using our services.
Shipment refers to the package(s) being transported.
Carrier refers to the transportation service used to deliver shipments.


3. Scope of Responsibility
• Swift Dreams Courier Services assumes responsibility for packages only from the point of  delivery to our warehouse and until they are collected.
• We are not responsible for packages before they arrive at our warehouse or after they have been collected.
• Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping details and ensuring proper packaging before delivery to our warehouse.


4. Addressing Requirements
• Customers must include their unique mailbox number in line 2 of the shipping address when ordering items.
• Customers must indicate whether they want express or standard shipping.
• Failure to include the mailbox number or shipping preference will result in the package being classified as "lost,  unknown or resulting in the customer bearing additional cost"
• To claim a "lost or unknown" package, the customer must provide:
• Tracking number
• Proof of purchase
• Description of package contents
• Declared value of the package


5. Scope of Liability
• We provide courier services for transporting goods but do not assume liability for the condition or content of packages once accepted for shipment.
• The recipient acknowledges that Swift Dreams Courier Services is not responsible for the content of packages or any loss, damage, or theft that occurs during transportation or delivery.
• Shipments are transported at the customer’s own risk.


6. Booking & Payments
• Customers must provide accurate shipping details, including their full addresses and contact information.
• Payment must be made in full before they can be collected after processing unless otherwise agreed upon.
• Additional charges may apply for customs, duties, taxes, or other fees.


7. Shipment Restrictions
• The following items are prohibited from shipping:
• Hazardous materials (explosives, flammable substances, toxic chemicals)
• Illegal goods (drugs, counterfeit items, stolen property)
• Perishable items without proper packaging
• Valuable items (cash, precious metals, antiques) unless insured and declared
• We reserve the right to refuse any shipment at our discretion.


8. Customs Fees & Duties
• All shipments entering Jamaica valued over $100 USD are subject to customs duties and fees as required by Jamaican customs authorities.
• The recipient is responsible for paying all applicable customs charges. Failure to pay may result in shipment delays, storage fees, or return to sender at the customer’s expense.
• Customs processing times may vary, and Swift Dreams Courier Services is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance.


9. Lost Package Definition
A package is considered lost if:
• It has not been delivered within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.
• It cannot be located within our system after a thorough investigation.


10. Claims Process
Customers must submit a claim for lost or damaged shipments within 7 days of the expected delivery date by providing:
• Tracking number
• Description of package contents
• Declared value of the package
• Proof of value (e.g., invoice or receipt)


11. Investigation Process
• After a claim is submitted, an investigation will take between 21 to 28 days.
• Customers will be informed of the outcome once the investigation is complete.


12. Compensation for Lost Packages
• If a package is deemed lost after the investigation, compensation will be provided based on the declared value, up to a maximum limit set by the company.
• Compensation will not exceed the insured amount (if applicable).


13. Exclusions from Liability
Swift Dreams Courier Services is not liable for:
• Inadequate or improper packaging by the sender.
• Prohibited items shipped in violation of our policies.
• Failure to declare high-value items.
• Delays, loss, or damage caused by customs authorities or other third parties.
• Loss, theft, or damage occurring after the package has been collected in Jamaica.


14. Delivery & Claims
• Customers must ensure someone is available to receive the shipment.
• If a delivery attempt fails, re-delivery fees may apply.
• If packages are not collected within 14 days after being marked ready there will be a $100 per storage charged per day for the uncollected packages. Or the packages will be auction
• Any claims for lost or damaged goods must be reported within 7 days of delivery.


15. Refund & Cancellation Policy
• Cancellations are not only allowed before the package is received at our Florida warehouse by the sender. Once a package has been received at our warehouse, cancellations are no longer possible.
• No refunds will be issued for shipments already in transit or delivered.


16. Dispute Resolution
• Any disputes regarding shipments, claims, or company policies shall first be resolved through direct negotiation with Swift Dreams Courier Services.
• If an agreement cannot be reached, disputes may be resolved through mediation or arbitration as required by law.


17. Privacy & Data Protection
• We collect customer data only for shipping purposes and do not share it with third parties, except as required by law.


18. Changes to Terms & Conditions
• We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The latest version will be available on our website.
